Insulated Steel Silos

 

The grain insulation silo boasts precise temperature control capabilities. Through the synergy of insulation materials and the temperature control system, internal temperature fluctuations can be kept within ±2℃. The silo body utilizes a composite structure of polyurethane foam insulation (thickness ≥150mm) and galvanized steel sheet, with a thermal conductivity ≤0.03W/m·K, effectively blocking the impact of external temperature changes on the grain inside. The temperature control system integrates intelligent sensors and variable frequency ventilation equipment, automatically adjusting the ventilation frequency according to the temperature gradient of the grain pile. This achieves cooling inside the silo during hot seasons and prevents condensation on the grain during cold seasons, ensuring the grain remains within the optimal storage temperature range of 15-20℃.

 

Meanwhile, equipped with a high-precision humidity monitoring and control system, the relative humidity inside the silo can be stably maintained at 65%-75%. Humidity balance is achieved through the following technologies:

 An anti-condensation breather valve is installed on the silo roof, automatically adjusting the ventilation volume when the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the silo changes, preventing condensation.

 A breathable moisture-proof membrane and a ventilation cage are laid at the bottom, working in conjunction with a dehumidifier to achieve air circulation and dehumidification within the silo.

 Distributed humidity sensors are installed inside the grain pile to monitor the moisture content of grain layers at different depths in real time; when the local humidity exceeds 78%, local ventilation is automatically activated.

 

Main Features

 

1. Structural Safety Features: The silo body adopts a combined steel frame and corrugated steel plate design, possessing the following safety features:

 Wind load resistance up to 0.55kN/m², capable of withstanding a category 12 typhoon.

 Seismic fortification intensity of 7 degrees, with silo body deformation ≤ 1/500 of silo height.

 The silo bottom uses a reinforced concrete raft foundation with a bearing capacity ≥ 20kPa to prevent uneven settlement.

 Equipped with an explosion-proof depressurization device, automatically depressurizing before the dust concentration inside the silo reaches the lower explosive limit, with a depressurization area to silo volume ratio ≥ 0.05m²/m³.

 

2. Grain Preservation Characteristics: Enables visualized monitoring of grain pile temperature field, using infrared thermography to locate local hotspots and prevent grain pile overheating and mold growth. Equipped with a management system, it has the following intelligent functions:

A wireless sensor network is used to achieve real-time data collection of parameters such as temperature, humidity, and gas composition inside the chamber.

Supports remote control via mobile app, allowing adjustment of equipment operating parameters such as ventilation, dehumidification, and inert gas control.

Automatically generates grain condition analysis reports, including grain temperature change curves, moisture content trend graphs, and quality assessment indicators.

 

3. Convenient Features: Focus on improving silo operation efficiency:

The grain loading and unloading system uses telescopic conveyor equipment, with an operating radius covering the entire warehouse area and a loading speed of up to 150t/h.

The modular design shortens the construction cycle of a single warehouse to 45 days and supports subsequent expansion and renovation.
