Description
Insulated Steel Silo is a closed steel structure container used to store temperature-sensitive materials. It is mainly composed of an inner steel plate, an insulation material layer and an outer protective layer. The equipment reduces the heat exchange between the internal materials and the external environment by filling insulation materials between the steel plate and the outer layer, thereby maintaining a relatively stable storage environment. Insulated Steel Silo is equipped with a ventilation system, a temperature and humidity monitoring device, and a unloading control device, which can achieve closed storage and orderly discharge of materials. Strong temperature control stability
The insulation layer of Insulated Steel Silo uses silicate insulation board or polyurethane foam. The thermal conductivity of these two types of materials is less than 0.035 W/m·K, and the thermal conductivity of polyurethane foam can reach as low as 0.022 W/m·K. Compared with the thermal conductivity of ordinary steel plates (about 50 W/m·K), it effectively reduces the heat exchange rate between the warehouse and the external environment, thereby avoiding internal overheating in summer and reducing heat loss in winter, delaying internal temperature fluctuations, ensuring more stable temperature control during grain storage, and reducing the risk of condensation.
Excellent moisture resistance
The water absorption rate of polyurethane foam and silicate board is less than 5%, among which polyurethane foam can effectively block water vapor from entering the warehouse because of its closed-cell rate of more than 90%. The insulation layer and steel plate in the structure are tightly combined to prevent moisture from penetrating into the internal space. This low moisture absorption property is effective in preventing grain from getting damp and inhibiting mold growth, especially in the humid environment in the south, which can reduce grain loss rate and reduce the frequency of dehumidification and fumigation operations, thereby reducing operating costs.
Lightweight materials
Whether it is polyurethane foam or silicate insulation board, its density is generally less than 200 kg/m³, which is much lower than the density of concrete insulation layer (usually above 2,200 kg/m³), greatly reducing the weight of the overall structure and the bearing pressure of the foundation. This lightweight design not only improves installation efficiency, but also reduces the risk of silo deformation caused by structural stress. In large steel silo structures, the total weight can be reduced by more than 15%, which helps to reduce infrastructure and transportation costs.
High safety level
Both insulation materials have good high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties. Polyurethane foam can reach B1 non-combustible grade after flame retardant treatment, and silicate board itself has A1 non-combustible properties. No dripping or toxic smoke is generated under the action of fire source, which effectively suppresses the spread of fire. This material selection improves the overall fire protection level of storage facilities and meets the fire protection code requirements for grain storage buildings in most countries.
